VIEWFINDER: BEN WARD

I met Ben in college; we were both in the journalism department at Colorado State University and both learning our way around a camera. Ben ranks in my top ten favorite photographers. Regardless of the subject and format the images Ben captures look effortless and timeless. While we were in school it was clear Ben had a different way of looking at things. His eye and attention to detail is amazing. We sat down over a bacon grilled cheese sandwich and root beer float and talked about what it takes to photography to be art and more than just a means of documentation.
